Before this small lamp arrived, we thought the phrase "brown jade" would be a contradiction in terms...but apparently jade stone, which is mined in quarries in China, comes in a wide range of colors. (Isn't the Internet grand?) Mounted on a square base, the angular lamp is finished with a 9" bottom taupe square shade. The 15" high Small Brown Jade Lamp by East Enterprises takes a 40watt bulb and is a good size and shape for a bookshelf or chest.
