Darling Vintage Embroidered Sunbonnet Sue on New Lamp Shade

Created by Bertha Corbett Melcher and first used to illustrate a child's primer in the early 1900s, the image of a little girl with her face hidden by a bonnet has become an integral part of American quilting. This hand-embroidered vintage remnant from a 1930s children's quilt top is now permanently attached to a brand new fabric lamp shade with fabric glue and its edges are trimmed with fabric ribbon.

The one of a kind shade measures 9" top x 10" bottom x 9" high.
