Vintage Ice Cream Tin Lamp

17" from bottom of base to top of shade / 10" bottom parchment / 60 watts

According to the Meadow Gold website, "On November 12, 1901, the U.S. Patent Office granted the Continental Creamery Company of Topeka a trademark for the name 'Meadow Gold." What we couldn't figure out, however, is whether their ice cream was ever sold in metal containers, like the one we've up-cycled into a 17" high one-of-a-kind lamp, or, if this container was an advertising ploy. In either event, the metal tin is now mounted on a dark base, has a 10" bottom pink checked fabric lampshade and takes a 60 watt bulb.
